Caught in a Purple Haze

Hey all! So, I know I said that I was going to try to post more frequently, and I also know I've failed at that thus far. However, it's still a goal of mine to maintain this blog at least monthly, so bare with me!

Oasap has sent me some lovely goodies once again, and I'd love to share them with you.

The first item I was sent was this Cableknit Sweater in the color Violet. I picked this because I've been getting really in to chunky sweaters, and it matches my hair color for the most ~kawaii~ of looks.

Oasap is selling this sweater for only $16.90, and it's more than worth it! The material is thick and soft, and it's not overly baggy. It's labeled as "One Size," and fits like a medium.

The next two items I received were the Semi-Sheer Yoke Blouse in white, which retails for $18.51, and the Sweet Candy Color Beret in Black, which retails for $5.90.

This blouse is probably one of my favorite things I've ever received from Oasap. Although it's a light material, it's not see-through in the slightest and I absolutely adore the upper mesh part of the top! It adds a unique dimension that a normal short-sleeve button-up just wouldn't accomplish. I paired it with houndstooth print shorts and black thigh high socks, but I'm also daydreaming about doing a completely white outfit using this top, a tulip skirt, and some chunky heels from Topshop; I think I'll have to wait until next spring for that, unfortunately. The beret was chosen last minute on a whim, but I'm so glad I got it! The material is thick, and it's a perfect addition to any outfit because although it's a plain color, it adds that cute/quirky feel an outfit is sometimes missing.

I hope you enjoyed my dorky webcam photos. Until next time!

Back to Black

With my recent move back towards the central Californian coast, comes cooler weather and (slightly dreary) overcast, which means I'm allowed to wear copious amounts of black unapologetically. This school year I decided to re-imagine my style and my vision of high fashion as a whole, while taking a different perspective on what it means to embody standing out amongst a crowd of athletic clothing-wearing college students. I also got new cute transparent ((((prescription)))) glasses, and a more professional, sleek cut.

I'll do a post soon of my "Back to School Haul," but for now, here are two of my newest favorite outfits featuring two black staple pieces from my beloved Oasap.

Basic Button Down                                 Sexy Irregular Skirt

I paired the Black Button Up Shirt with a Topshop skirt, ASOS jelly platform shoes, a thrifted sequin clutch, and an evil eye necklace from Nordstroms.

I wore the Black Irregular Skirt with an American Apparel black turtleneck crop and cardigan, black thrifted ankle boots, and black lace socks.

As always, visit Oasap for all of your various fashion wants and needs!
